Request Data Deletion

Need to delete your data immediately? Send us a deletion request and we'll process it within 30 days.

For Facebook/Meta users: If you arrived here from Facebook, we will delete all data associated with your Facebook account from our systems.

What Data Gets Deleted

When you request data deletion, we will remove:

  • Account Information: Email address, name, profile details
  • Content Data: Posts, captions, images, and scheduled content
  • Analytics Data: Performance metrics and engagement statistics
  • Usage Data: App usage patterns, preferences, and settings
  • Connected Accounts: Social media account connections (tokens revoked)
  • Communication Records: Support tickets and email correspondence

Complete Data Removal

We delete all traces of your personal information from our systems, including backups and logs, ensuring complete privacy protection.

Third-Party Platform Data

Important: Deleting your Alunai account affects data in different ways across platforms:

Automatically Removed

  • • Access tokens and API connections
  • • Scheduled posts (not yet published)
  • • Draft content in Alunai
  • • Analytics data we collected

Remains on Platforms

  • • Already published posts
  • • Comments and interactions
  • • Your social media profiles
  • • Platform-specific analytics

Note: To remove content from social media platforms, you'll need to delete it directly on each platform (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) or contact their support teams.

How to Request Data Deletion

Method 1: Email Request

Send an email to legal@alun.ai with the following information:

  • Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
  • Your registered email address
  • Reason for deletion (optional)
  • Any additional account details to help us locate your data

Method 2: Account Settings

If you have an active account:

  • Log in to your Alunai account
  • Go to Settings → Privacy & Data
  • Click "Delete My Account"
  • Follow the confirmation prompts

Data We Must Retain

In some cases, we may be required to retain certain information for legal or business purposes:

  • Legal Compliance: Data required by law or regulation (tax records, etc.)
  • Security: Anonymized security logs for fraud prevention
  • Financial Records: Payment and billing information (anonymized after 7 years)
  • Dispute Resolution: Records related to ongoing legal matters

Important: Any retained data will be anonymized and cannot be linked back to you personally. We retain only the minimum necessary information as required by law.

Your Rights and Appeals

You have the right to:

  • Request a copy of your data before deletion
  • Appeal our decision if we cannot delete certain data
  • File a complaint with data protection authorities
  • Request updates on your deletion request status
